👋 Hello, I'm Laura

Welcome to my corner of the web! I'm a localisation engineer, language technologist, and tech tinkerer based in Lancashire, UK. I work at the intersection of language, automation, and open-source tools—with a soft spot for ethical tech, decentralised infrastructure, and making things a little more human.
By day, I work on modernising and future-proofing localisation workflows using the latest technology and LangOps principles. By night, you'll probably find me experimenting with self-hosted tools, translating something obscure, or organising my digital life like a very nerdy magpie.
🧭 Now (as of June 2025)
- 🛠️ Working as a Localisation Engineer (part engineering, part workflow improvement)
- 🌍 Hosting my own open web hub via Nextcloud + Ghost + more
- 🧠 Learning: MLOps basics, Python cert prep, and a bit of prompt engineering wizardry
- 🌸 Enjoying: rose-scented everything, barre workouts, long riverside walks, and my two cats 🐾 Jem & Scout
- 💬 Thinking a lot about: LangOps, AI in localisation, feminist theology, and better digital privacy
