Hello! 👋 This is a personal blog run by me, Laura Hargreaves, as a creative space for my writing, thoughts, and projects. Your privacy is important to me — I want you to feel safe when visiting or subscribing here.

If you subscribe to receive blog updates, I’ll collect:

  • Your email address
  • The date you subscribed

That’s it. No creepy tracking, no ads, no hidden agendas.

Your email is used only to send you an email notifying of new posts, using Ghost’s built-in newsletter system (powered by Mailgun).

I will never:

  • Share your data
  • Sell your data
  • Use it for anything else

Analytics for email opens, link clicks or member sources are and will remain completely disabled here — no tracking of your activity occurs. Just vibes and good intentions.

🍪 What about cookies?

This site uses Ghost’s default session cookies, which are strictly necessary to:

  • Keep logged-in users authenticated (for comments or admin access)
  • Manage session security

These cookies do not track you across the web or share data with third parties. No analytics or advertising cookies are in use.

Since all cookies are essential for functionality, no cookie banner is required under UK or EU law.

This site uses Plausible Analytics — a privacy-focused, open source tool — to help me understand overall traffic trends (like how many people read each post).

Plausible:

  • Does not use cookies
  • Does not collect personal data
  • Does not track individual visitors across sites

All data is aggregated and anonymised. It helps me know which posts are reaching people — without compromising your privacy.
